| So as I've failed in updating at ALL since the first week of June, I thought I'd do a quick update-by-photos. After a serious lack of live music in my life in the last couple of years (I think the last two were been Arctic Monkeys in July 07 and Spice Girls in December the same year), I've had a month of concertage. A rather strange mixture, but all equally excellent - Take That with fallen_wiccan, Boyzone on my own, Oasis with my Dad, Dave and Dave's fiancee Donna, and last night was Athlete with mrbuttmonkey, scourgeoe and fallen_wiccan. ( Click for pics and brief reviewage! )So that's that! Gig month is over - bring on nerd month! Or nerd week. Or even just nerd weekend, really, combined with HOLIDAY! The Virgin Atlantic website reliably informs me that there are 14 days, 17 hrs, 19 mins til our flight. fallen_wiccan, scourgeoe and I are going down to London on Saturday the 18th, staying over, swinging by LFCC on the Sunday, and then going to jainaj's on Sunday evening. On Monday the 20th at ten past three in the afternoon, the four of us plus fray101 and mrbuttmonkey are jetting off to LA, where we'll be til the Wednesday (and are going to do awesome things like the WB Tour, have drinks at La Cantina, go on a tour bus and visit Cold Stone Creamery) when we get the train to San Diego for Comic Con. I can't believe it's just two weeks away! We've been planning it for so long and it's finally almost here - whee! | |

| Twitter is bizarre, when you're watching celebs talking to each other. It's like eavesdropping! Like earlier tonight, Mark Indelicato and Christopher Gorham had a conversation about The Sims 3, and at the same time Chris Gorham is telling Tom Lenk he'll see him and Alyssa Milano in Salt Lake City and they're both like HELLS YEAH. Weirdness.
Yes, I'm trying to post more often and it's just ending up in nonsense. - Tags:twitter

| Two days in a row with posts, whatever next! I don't have anything to say, really. I'm thinking about going to bed, and it's only 11pm. And I don't have to get up until 9 tomorrow. That would be lots of sleep.
I swear I had things to say when I opened this.
Today I phoned SAFC and now have an envelope ready to post tomorrow with a £25 cheque as an "administration fee" so that some bloke in the ticket office and push two buttons and change the seat number on my (unposted, unprinted) ticket for next season so that I can sit next to my Dad. But at least I'll officially sit next to him for the first time ever, instead of relying on the niceness of the people in between us!
I need Irn Bru.
I got a direct message on Twitter from JP Manoux the other day. (He was Not Moby in HIMYM, as well as having been in oodles of other things including Scrubs which I'd forgotten about) The thing that tickled me the most was that it was in reply to my followfriday pimping of him, in which I said "Not!Moby is on Twitter!" and in his DM he signed it Not Moby. He is officially near the top of my cool people list.
48 days, 15 hrs, 59 mins til we fly to San Diego! WOO!
Right, I really do have nothing else to say. So I'm going to go and play Farm Town on Facebook for a bit and then zonk out while watching old school Buffy. Night! | |

| Fucking Expo. I realised the other day that I haven't updated in May. Oops. And what a first entry - fucking Expo. Why do we keep going? The very first time we went, we said never again, not unless they get somebody like Gina Torres. And then we had to go back, and despite the initial horror of the fact we have to go to Docklands, and the freaks and the smell and the queueing, when you push past all of that to the corner where they hide the actual celebrities, it's so calm and quiet and easy. We go in saying "fucking Expo!" and come out saying "Ah, Expo. Our favourite event!" ( Not any more. )I got on the bus and went to sleep. Lovely sleepy sleep. We were due to get to Leeds at 9.30. Around 7.45 I woke up and realised that we had stopped. Odd. I looked out of the front. No traffic. Odder. Turns out we had a total blowout (how I didn't wake up when this happened I don't know). We were on the hard shoulder and it was going to be 90 mins for either a replacement coach or somebody to change the tyre. Then the Highways Agency people turned up and insisted that we couldn't all stay on the bus at the side of the motorway, and other National Express coaches going in a similar direction stopped to take people. The first bus to Leeds filled up before I got to the front to get off. The next bus was just going to take people to Woodall Services to wait until the driver of our bus managed to get it fixed, then he'd carry on taking people home. This is the point I started wishing I'd asked Craig Charles for a lift to Leeds. I told him if I wasn't home by 10.50 I'd miss the last bus and have to pay £25 for a taxi. There was only 10 seats on the bus to Woodall services and there were 12 people. The driver said maybe I could get on the next Leeds bus that came along, along with one other person. Then, miracle of all miracles, the original Leeds bus that had taken loads of people on had managed to magic up two seats by getting parents with young kids to sit them on their knees. So I managed to get on that one. When we got to Sheffield and people got off I moved so that the lady next to me could have her seat back for her son. I was back in Leeds by 10.30 and on the 10.50 bus, but it was hairy for a while there and I was so glad to be home! And Jaina, before you say anything, you can't have a point for that. I would much rather get a puncture on a bus where I can sit on the bus and then be moved to another bus and potentially pay a bit for a taxi than I would sit at the side of the motorway by myself with a blown tyre either waiting for breakdown recovery or trying to change it myself. Remember Diana? Fucking Expo. | |

That's all I have the energy to say right now.

| Stolen from Shirley. Or, well, not really stolen because I volunteered. So really, icons picked by Shirley! 1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons. 2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose. 3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts. 4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee. Also, this wasn't part of the original meme but if you already did it and don't want to make another post you can always ask for icons and do it all in comments :D ( The icons Shirley chose )- Tags:meme

| Since I bought my DSi last week, Mam has inherited my old DS and she wants to train her brain. I've never had any of the brain training games, so which is best (in terms of fun, the amount of stuff to do, etc), friendslist? Brain Age (or Brain Age 2) the Dr Kawathingy's Brain Training or More Brain Training, or Big Brain Academy? - Tags:dsing

| My DSi is sitting beside me on the desk. My first ever pre-ordered console! It's like coming of age! The woman talked me into the warranty and almost charged me £20 too much because she forgot to take my £20 deposit off but thankfully I was awake enough to notice!
Now I want to play all day and do no work. Boo. - Tags:dsing
